Artist Statement

My art explores the interplay between nature, life experiences, philosophy, emotions, and the daily moments that shape our lives. Influenced by artists as Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse, Gustav Klimt, and Lori Mirabelli, my work is driven by the desire to express freedom, joy, and peace. Painting allows me to connect with those moments of stillness and clarity, offering a chance to reveal both fantasy and truth, reflect on social and cultural contexts, and create beauty. Every time I paint, I learn more about myself, experimenting with different techniques and ideas.

While I have an indoor studio in our garage, nothing compares to the experience of painting outdoors in the garden under the open sky on a warm, sunny day. Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by the fleeting nature of the present moment and the possibility of new insights. My work is abstract, designed to ignite the imagination. I aim to evoke emotion through vibrant colours, lines, textures, patterns, and shapes—often in a poetic, nonlinear fashion. I use a variety of tools—acrylic paints, brushes, spatulas, toilet paper rolls, bottles, glasses, shells etc. —to create my compositions.
I am painting out of my soul and in the beginning, I do not know the ending. My mind is connected to the individual idea and when I am happy with what I see, then its finished. Sometimes it takes a few hours, other times days. Usually the outcome is beauty, only when I lose the connection it will be a mess.

Creating art is an essential part of my life and culture, offering a deeper understanding of our emotions. I am especially grateful for commissioned pieces, as they allow me to connect with the personal stories, dreams, and ideas, filling each work with a unique, intimate touch.
